AbyssalEscape
Abyssal Escape is a Roblox asymmetrical horror game where survivors clear red mist nodes to force the escape ring open, and one killer decides how much of the map that is going to cost them. This wiki tracks the codes, killer tier list, abilities, maps and round timings in one place.

What is Abyssal Escape?
Abyssal Escape is an eight-player asymmetrical horror game on Roblox, live in alpha since 17 October 2026. One player takes a killer from the launch roster; the remaining seven are survivors trying to dispel the encroaching red mist and get out of the arena before the round clock runs down.
What separates Abyssal Escape from other Roblox horror games is that the round runs on phases. Objectives, the exit window and how much a chase actually costs you all change depending on which phase of the round you are in, so knowing the structure matters more than knowing the maps by heart. That structure is what most of this wiki exists to explain.

Round flow
How an Abyssal Escape round actually resolves
Most losses in Abyssal Escape are not bad chases. They are teams that spent the early round like it was a mid round, and reached the escape ring with no clock left to use it. Here is the loop, in order.
-
1
Spread and locate mist
Survivors fan out to find red mist nodes. The killer is usually still far away, so this is the cheapest objective time you will get all round.
-
2
Clear nodes, drain the clock
Dispelling mist nodes is what pushes the round timer toward the escape ring. Half-finished nodes are the most common cause of a stalled round.
-
3
Ring spawns
The escape ring appears once enough progress lands. It is the only way survivors win, and it is also when the killer stops patrolling and commits.
-
4
Run the ring
Everyone still outside the ring when the clock expires has effectively already lost the round. Save stamina for this, not for the second phase.
Phase schedule
The eight-minute round, split into five phases
Every round runs the same structure, so the clock is readable once you know where the edges sit. These are the default timings the escape timer uses. A lobby can drift by a few seconds, which is why the useful skill is recognising the transition rather than memorising the number.
| Clock | Phase | What changes |
|---|---|---|
| 0:00 | Spawn | Nobody is hunted yet; the cheapest objective window you will get. |
| 1:30 | First Hunt | The killer starts rotating toward nodes, which ends solo clears. |
| 3:30 | Gate Opens | Escape routes go live once enough mist progress has landed. |
| 5:30 | Final Push | Chases commit. Stamina saved earlier is spent here or wasted. |
| 7:00 | Lockdown | The window closes on anyone still outside the ring. |

Codes
Abyssal Escape codes
Abyssal Escape codes are the main way the developers hand out cosmetics, and most of them expire quietly around patch day. Codes that have been retired are listed separately so you can tell a dead code from a mistyped one — that distinction is what most failed redemptions actually come down to.
- • Codes are case sensitive, and
O/0is the usual mistake. - • One redemption per reward per account.
- • Redeeming mid-round can silently fail — rejoin first.
Redeem in five steps
- 1 Launch Abyssal Escape on Roblox and join a lobby.
- 2 Open the codes field from the game menu.
- 3 Type the code rather than pasting it, to drop trailing spaces.
- 4 Confirm, then check your inventory for the reward.
- 5 If it rejects silently, check the retired list before retrying.
Tier snapshot
Abyssal Escape killer tier list at a glance
Ranked by how reliably a killer wins a round under average play, not by how strong it feels in one good chase. The full method is on the tier list page.
| Tier | Killer | Pressure style | Difficulty |
|---|---|---|---|
| S | 2011x | Cycle re-approach | |
| S | 2017x | Phased rushdown | |
| A | Fleetway | Slam / route control | |
| A | The Deity | High ceiling | |
| A | Furnace | Ambush from cover | |
| B | No More Innocence | Sustained denial |
Tier placements are editorial and move with each patch. Replace the difficulty values with your own measured numbers before publishing.
Beginner tips
Ten things that improve your Abyssal Escape win rate immediately
None of these are advanced. They are the corrections new survivors make last, which is why they change results so quickly.
- 1Learn one map at a time. Route knowledge beats reaction speed in a game decided by phases.
- 2Play with audio on. Most kills start with a survivor who muted the approach cue.
- 3Never finish a mist node alone if two of you are free; shared nodes waste the clock.
- 4Hold your ability for the ring run. Survivors who spend it mid-round have nothing left when it matters.
- 5Do not heal in an open sightline. Killers read recovery animation as a free pick.
- 6Call the phase, not the killer. "Ring is up" tells seven people what to do; "behind you" tells one.
- 7Learn what each killer's stamina window costs you, because that gap is your only free rotation.
- 8Rehearse the escape on the timer tool until the phase change is automatic.
- 9Pick a forgiving survivor first. See the roster by role.
- 10Check the patch log before you trust any advice older than a week.

Abyssal Escape gameplay, killer by killer
Two videos worth your time before you queue: a full-roster killer run, and the pre-release teaser that shows how the phases look without a commentary track over them.
Maps
Abyssal Escape maps
The game rotates two arenas, and they fail survivors in different ways. One punishes you for committing to a lane; the other punishes you for not checking a corner. Both are worth learning before you worry about killer matchups.
Latest change
Flameless Start
Abyssal Escape now opens matches without the starting light pass, which makes the first phase noticeably harder to read for new survivors.

Is it worth your queue time?
Two days out of alpha and already more structured than most horror releases on Roblox, because the round has a shape rather than just a monster. That is the whole argument for playing it now. The counter-argument is that the roster is not balanced yet and the build will change underneath you within a week.
What it gets right
- + Phases give a chase a beginning and an end, so surviving is a skill instead of a coin flip.
- + Six killers with genuinely different pressure styles, not stat swaps of the same toolset.
- + Rounds resolve in eight minutes, which is short enough that one more queue always sounds reasonable.
- + Free on desktop and phone, with no purchase needed to queue or to win.
What still hurts
- − Alpha balance: the two S-tier killers outperform the rest under average play, and punish new lobbies hardest.
- − Only two arenas, so route variety is thin until the next map lands.
- − The patch cadence is fast enough that third-party advice goes stale in days, including advice on this site.
- − Removing the starting light pass made the opening phase genuinely hard to read for a first-time survivor.
FAQ
Abyssal Escape questions, answered
Is Abyssal Escape free on Roblox?
Yes. Abyssal Escape is free through Roblox on desktop, Android and iOS, with no purchase required to queue a round. Cosmetic skins are the only thing that costs anything, and several have been handed out through Abyssal Escape codes.
When did Abyssal Escape come out?
Abyssal Escape launched on in alpha, so the roster and balance are still moving. Treat any guide older than a patch as unreliable, including this one — the release page tracks what is confirmed versus still early access.
How do survivors win in Abyssal Escape?
By reaching the escape ring. Survivors cannot win a round of Abyssal Escape by surviving alone, which is the single most common misunderstanding: clearing red mist nodes only matters because it forces the ring to spawn, and the ring is the only exit.
How many killers does Abyssal Escape have?
Six at launch: 2011x, 2017x, Fleetway, Furnace, No More Innocence and The Deity. Each pressures a different part of the round, which is why the tier list ranks them by pressure rather than raw strength.
Why do my Abyssal Escape codes not work?
Almost always expiry, a trailing space, or a case mismatch — in that order. A silent rejection with no message is usually an expired code rather than a broken one. The full check order is on the codes not working page.
Does Abyssal Escape work on a phone?
Yes, through the Roblox app, on the same servers and account as desktop. The real cost is input precision rather than frame rate — see Abyssal Escape on mobile for which setting to lower first.
Glossary
Abyssal Escape terms you will hear in lobby
- Red mist
- The hazard spread across the arena. Clearing its nodes is what advances a round toward the ring.
- Escape ring
- The only win condition for survivors. It spawns once enough mist progress has landed.
- Mist node
- An individual cluster of red mist you work to dispel. Half-cleared nodes still count as wasted time.
- Stamina
- The sprint budget that decides a chase. Running it out early is the most common survivor error in Abyssal Escape.
- Phase
- A stage of the round clock. Killer behaviour and exit availability both change between phases.
- Denial
- Killer play that stalls objectives rather than securing a catch — usually worth more than either.
