SurvivorsPick Your Run

Every survivor fits a role in the round. The roster below is grouped by that role, with a difficulty meter so you know which picks punish a mistimed ability.

Survivors in Abyssal Escape fall into three roles, and picking the right one for your device and your reaction time matters more than picking the strongest one on paper. The roster below is grouped so you can find a forgiving first pick.

Roster by role

Mobility survivors create distance, support survivors keep the team in the round, and utility survivors push objectives along.

Survivor A

DashChase breaker

A short burst tool for the moment a chase line closes. Best spent one step before a corner, not halfway across open ground. Weak in maps with no place to land the extra distance.

Survivor B

Vault boostVertigo risk

Trades raw speed for vertical movement, so routes matter more than reflexes. A good pick on maps with stacked levels and poor on flat floors. Punishes hesitation at climbing points.

Survivor C

Stamina poolBeginner safe

No active trick, just a longer sustainable sprint than the roster average. The forgiving way to learn chase routes before trying a tool-timed pick. Falls off once a killer controls the corners.

Picking a survivor

The roster splits into three jobs, and a lobby covers all three better than one survivor covers everything. Pick from the job your team is missing, not the one with the flashiest tool.

Read the round before the character

Mobility entries pay off on flat maps with long open crossings, and waste their tool where chases end at corners. Support entries need teammates nearby to be worth a slot. Utility entries shorten the dangerous part of a round but do nothing in the final sprint.

  • New players: take the low-difficulty entry in any role and learn one map's routes before switching.
  • Fixed groups: assign roles before spawning so the objective phase never stalls.
  • Solo queues: mobility or fast-objective picks keep you alive without relying on strangers.

Difficulty is about timing, not strength

A full pips meter means the ability is easy to waste, not that the survivor is weak. High-difficulty entries reward players who already know where a chase is going to break.

Take the pick further: abilities break down what each tool actually does, and skins cover the cosmetic side.
